Candidate Transferee/New Hire Area Orientation

Firstline Mobility, prides itself on having the finest destination services available in the country. The foundation of that service is built on the quality and extensive experience of our Employees. In addition, Firstline has added the advantages of today's technology to ensure that each Employee receives the most accurate and easily understood data on their new community. Firstline Mobility’s home finding program is designed to provide the Employee with professional counseling, new area information and orientation, plus home finding assistance. This service minimizes the expenses associated with the search for and purchase of a new home.


The candidate area orientation will help corporations with higher acceptance percentages, lower recruiting expenses and increased new Employee retention. These results are delivered by making the candidate and accompanying spouse comfortable with the prospect of relocating to the destination city! Firstline counselors will lead them to neighborhoods that fulfill their specific needs by understanding their lifestyle, personal finances, and quality of life issues.

  • Telephone contact is made to learn their requirements and concerns.
     
  • If practical, a face-to-face Area Orientation counseling is conducted during the interview visit. This is done at the time and place most convenient for them. This will include local cost-of-living information, home purchase and rental options, cost of housing, taxes, utilities, education, commute times, environmental conditions, mortgage pre-qualification if appropriate, and other items that are essential to the newcomer will be discussed in detail.
     
  • Information packets will be provided to each Employee with details prepared by the Firstline Mobility’ Research and Development Department. MiniOverlay Maps will be shown and area characteristics will be discussed in general terms. Each family will receive a customized set of detailed MiniOverlay to keep for their personal reference.
     
  • Firstline Counselors provide continuous feedback to the company addressing income concerns, level of interest in the position and the company, and other issues.
     
  • Cost-of-living comparisons are also provided to Recruiters, and suggestions are available to overcome objections raised by the candidate about the destination.

This process better prepares the candidate to consider the employment opportunity being offered, and to make an informed acceptance decision. When the offer is accepted, Firstline will complete the relocation process at a minimum of expense for both the Employee and employer. This permits the new Employee to stay focused and be most productive.



Corporate Housing

This service has experienced the fastest growth within Firstline. With hundreds of apartments units under contract, Firstline provides broad experience in the Interim Housing needs for Corporations.

The options considered are Corporate Apartments, Interim Housing Styled Hotels (i.e. The Residence Inn by Marriott), and traditional hotels. Deciding on any of the above options is generally driven by duration of stay, concentrated volume and local rental market conditions.


Firstline strongly believes that the quality needs to be exceptional. This becomes the Employees first impression of the new work environment. Employees will appreciate the quality and the comfort of the accommodations that the Company has provided.

With our vast knowledge of apartments communities and various suppliers, corporations have found that Firstline has been able to not only keep costs contained, but are able to negotiate discounted rates on the corporation’s behalf. The Interim Housing Coordinator also serves to reinforce your company’s policy. This service, coupled with Destination Services, will decrease the amount of time the Employee needs for interim housing!



Home Purchase Assistance

Working with their Area Orientation Consultant, your Employee will be able to identify two or three areas that may fit their needs. Their consultant will hand-select a FRS Realtor experienced in assisting relocating Employees. The initial meeting will include a tour of selected neighborhoods that satisfy the needs of the Employee. Our proprietary Relocation Planner will be employed to lead the house hunting and purchasing activity.

Maintaining our independence from specific real estate firms gives us a unique opportunity to remain impartial in our selection process, giving your Employees the best possible representation in their purchase.

 



Rental Assistance

Firstline Mobility believes that the attention and quality of service that is provided to Employees who rent should be equal to relocating homebuyers. We have developed a Rental Program that will dramatically reduce the stress and time required securing housing.



Mortgage Services

Your Employees will be gently guided through the variety of mortgage and special relocation discount programs that are available. With recommendations from their Mortgage Consultant, the Employee will be able to make informed decisions and will know exactly how much they qualify for before a home has been selected.

 



Settling-in Services

With the major aspects of the relocation behind them, your Employees will have many minor details that require attention. When requested by the Employee, FRS will take care of utility hookups, insurance services, tax planning, and local banking information. FRS’s consultant will coordinate activities thus allowing the Employees to concentrate on their work performance. Final service evaluations and reports as requested will be submitted to Human Resources.

 



Well planned relocation will ensure lower costs and more importantly, lower stress. Once your case is assigned to your personal Relocation Consultant, a needs analysis will be complete.
